Present/Past Christmas Album

I signed up for a "Holidays in Hand "class to create a Christmas album at Jessica Pragues .This project is alot harder to do than I anticipated. I have so few past Christmas photos.Oh how I wish we had digital cameras back in the old days! I have lots of neat digi pics of the grandkids but I don't want to really scrap those cause they themselves & their mama's will do that. Not only do I have few pics of my own kids & practically none(literally) of my childhhod Christmas the pics I have are very poor quality.To make things worse I am bad at journaling but I guess that would be the main way to recapture my own past holiday time.

I joined her CT as a part timer! Carmen has been very kind to agree to my part time statis on her team & I am very grateful for that. It is alot of fun to be on a CT yet it is quite a committment too_ one I am not ready to do full time right now with the holidays coming up & all. But I will do my best as a part timer & hopefully it will work out.

I have so few photos of my kids I could cry. I only have about 5 Halloween pics of them.Yet we went trick & treating every single year. It always was such an exciting time .

The black & white photo on the LO is a very bad photo to use on a LO but it is the only one I have of me with (at least one) of my kids at Halloween time & it brings back memories for me.And that is the whole purpose of digiscrapping isn't it? Preserve our memories.

My very own personal blinkie

I won a blinkie of choice from Littlespooky(Carmen of LightningBugCreations) over at StoneAccentsStudio where she has a blinkie/banner service in the store. She made me a blinkie for my blog using her apples kit & I think it turned out really cute.
For some dumb reason Blogspot won't let me add the image code to the post!! I want to show you my blinkie.Darn, always something with the computer.When I get it figured out I'll post the blinkie.
I can't seem to do it.Keep getting a code error.Tried to do many different ways

Mom will celebrate her birthday this month. She will be 93!!!

This month my premier membership at scrappersguide teaches us how to make vintage frames. I made the frames in the LO & it was fun to put on the creases, bent corner, stains & burn the edges etc. I turned the photo to sepia & painted in mom's blue eyes & rosy cheeks --but the blue eyes are not showing up in this LO .Kit is BloomonBeauty by Anja Schernau.QP by LisaBrown with my changes

went to a horse camp at Bunker Hills this summer.
They were in awe to be riding real horses & not just pony's
Seriously learning to ride properly.
They had to brush their horse, saddle it,walk ,stop, turn & trot

Life after the closing of Cottagescrapbooks

Well I have not applied to join another CT .I am rather enjoying the break from weekly LO deadlines & posting to 4 different sites every week. My goal now is to digiscrap my heritage photos & scan in photos of my kids & restore them. These photos were taken back in the 70's when the worse film every made in the history of film types was being sold--kodak daisy ?? film. The photos are all turning red etc.
Tomorrow I will have cataract surgery. The hardest part was arranging transportation to & from the eye center for two separate procedures ( they only do one eye at a time). I just hate to bother my kids cause Brent wil loss work time & Sally has 4 kids- the one year old & 3 year old doesn't make driving in very early am too easy.They both have been great about it. The part of doing only one eye at a time is in case it doesn't go well. That is a bit scary.Possible complications can be bleeding,infection, eyesight loss & even loss of eye!!! However the procedure is common with great results so I am keeping that my focus.

CottageScrapbooks is no more

Stella was upgrading the site to get more bandwidth & something went terribly wrong.It is my understanding that GeoCity the host site ran into some problems with CottageScrapBooks during the upgrade & everything EVERYTHING was lost.Stella is heart broken & does not want to start again from scratch due to other things going on in her life.She has just relocated from Australia to Canada & settling in her new home & starting a full time job.
It is unbelievable that such a happy site is florishing one day & gone the next.It was my home the last seven months. I was on the Creative Team for CottageScrapbooks & loved making LO's for the designers . It was fun working with the other CT's on the team & seeing their work. I will miss them,the designers at the Cottage & Stella.

Wow the months sure go fast.January flew by.Celebrated 3 birthdays this month.Saw Elmo stage show with grandaughters. It was so cold we froze just walking a little way to get in the arena. Struggling with weightwatchers. Too cold to go grocery shopping as often as needed to get healthy fruits & veggies. I haven't joined in on blogging a photo a day like so many are doing but I sure have been thinking about it. A great way to get a album of your life to pass onto future generations.

Today I am feeling abit nostalgic so I thought I would blog .It has been so cold . I have been wasting alot of time watching movies. I have netflex & not only get two movies in the mail but I have been watching the instant online downloads too!! In addition to that I have read several novels. I buy them by the bag full at rummage sales. And then in addition to that I am playing my pcgames.I'm playing Assassin'sCreed now. I am 2/3's through the game.Should only take me many many more hours to finish!! Needless to say digital scrapbooking is addicting. I renewed my membership at scrappers guide.Linda Sattgast is raising her prices for her premier membership but she had a special that if you renewed now you can always get the old price. I am so glad I wasn't out of town visiting my mom because if I would have missed that email from Linda I think I would have cried. I am learning so much from her & the digiscrappers in her premier membership are some of the best on the entire web. It is awesome to look at their LO's using the lessons Linda teaches. Stella at Cottagescrapbooks is one precious lady.She is so enthusiatic & energetic. It is catching. She always has such kind words to say to her members that submit LO's in the gallery.. I have learnd so much from her. I never went to a digiscrapping yahoo group till Stella introduced them to the Ct's. I never dreamed of sharing a RMP(QP) on a file sharing site or designing a blinkie. I ony went to StoneAccentsStudio digi site. Now I have Lo's on Gotta Pixels,Digitalshoptalk,Scrapnfreestyle ,3Scrapateers, NDIS & others.It has been a true adventure to be a CT for her & her store.Her store is only 5 months old now & growing all the time. I wish her success.She deserve3s it .She works so hard. She gives so many freebies it is unbelievable. Well with all this activity I am starting to get behind in my housework. You can only do 52 pick ups so long. I am due for some deep cleaning. I gotta spend more time on my weightwatchers program,exercise,etc. I gotta get ready for income tax. I am starting to get nervous for all I have to do. Maybe that is why I have been watching movies & reading.Procrastinating. Trying to get up my energy . I just signed up for my medicare supplement.Boy they sure make that confusing. Well i guess I am done rambling. I've been thinking of my brother alot lately who lives in another state & mom with her dementia & too far to visit often. I cried last time I saw her. I think this is what has caused me to feel so nostalgic.
